Peacefully gliding, holding hands
we engrave images of hope
on black canopies of emptiness
throughout the Universe
You whisper in my ear:
“We may soon reach Betelgeuse,
bright red
and leave behind the Earthly flood of night”,
Between tears of longing
we watch the dark shroud of shadows,
war-silenced
reflections of past creatures evolved by chance
from life creator ocean
On our free hand, like Noah
we hold seeds
and two by two animals,
I see your tears showering the Universe
with flickering stars
I whisper in your ear “we’ll start again”

Dear Lena,
Your Poem brought tears to my eyes. It is filled with hope and longing for a world without war—a vision that is especially moving in these difficult times. Thank you for this powerful gift.
Irit
Oh Irity,
Sorry, mea culpa. You wrote you did but somehow I haven’t seen this before.
It was you in my mind, your pain and disappointment, our pain and disappointment when writing this.
My dream of hope, whispering in your ear, “we’ll start again”
